Set up your phone for IMAP email

You can set up your phone to send and receive email from your email accounts. Using IMAP, your email are kept on the server and are synchronised between all of your devices. It is therefore possible to access your email from different devices. To set up your phone for IMAP email, you need to set up your phone for internet.
Select an alternative email configuration:
- Set up your phone for POP3 email
- Set up your phone for Telstra Mail
- Set up your phone for Exchange email

4 of 44 steps Press Other.
5 of 44 steps Press Add Mail Account.
6 of 44 steps Press Name and key in the required sender name.
7 of 44 steps Press Email and key in your email address.
8 of 44 steps Press Password and key in the password for your email account.
9 of 44 steps Press Description and key in the required name.
10 of 44 steps Press Next.
11 of 44 steps If this screen is displayed, you email account has been recognised and set up automatically. Follow the instructions on the screen to key in more information and finish setting up your phone.

13 of 44 steps Press Host Name and key in the name of your email provider's incoming server.
14 of 44 steps Press Username and key in the username for your email account.
15 of 44 steps Press Host Name and key in the name of your email provider's outgoing server.
16 of 44 steps Press Username and key in the username for your email account.
17 of 44 steps Press Password and key in the password for your email account.

19 of 44 steps Press Save. Your email account has now been set up. To select more settings for incoming and outgoing server, proceed with the following steps.

41 of 44 steps Press the indicator next to "Push" to turn the function on or off.
42 of 44 steps If you turn off the function, press the required setting.
43 of 44 steps Press the required email account and follow the instructions on the screen to select settings for the specific account.
44 of 44 steps Slide your finger upwards starting from the bottom of the screen to return to the home screen.
