Set up your phone for text messaging

Follow these instructions to set up your phone for text messaging.

    Find "SMS"
    • Slide your finger left across the display to open the main menu.
    • Press Text Messages.
    • Press the dots in the bottom right corner of the display.
    • Press Settings.
    • Press Text Messages.
    • Press SMS.

    Turn request for delivery reports on or off
    • Press the indicator next to Confirm Delivery to turn the function on or off.
    • If you turn on request for delivery reports, you'll be notified when your text message has been delivered.

    Save the message centre number
    • Press Advanced.
    • Press the field below Service Centre Address and key in +61418706700
  • 4
    Select data bearer
    • Press the drop down list below Routing Preference.
    • Press Circuit Switched Preferred.

    Select message type
    • Press the drop down list below Send Text-Only Messages as.
    • Press SMS.

    Save settings
    • Press Save.
  • 7
    Exit
    • Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your phone to return to standby mode.
