I can't use my phone's internet connection
If you can't use the phone's internet connection, there may be several causes of the problem.
Solution: Check our network coverage maps for coverage information and to confirm expected signal strength and speeds in your area.

Solution: Connect to Wi-Fi network


Slide your finger left on the display.
Press Settings.
Press WiFi.
Press the indicator next to WiFi networking to turn on the function.


A list of Wi-Fi networks within range is displayed.
Press the required Wi-Fi network.


Follow the instructions on the display to select security settings, if required.
Press the Home key to return to standby mode.

Solution: Turn data roaming on or off


Slide your finger left on the display.
Press Settings.
Press mobile network.
Press the field below Data roaming options.
Press roam or don't roam to turn data roaming on or off.
Press the Home key to return to standby mode.

Solution: Open the browser on your phone and try loading a web page. The browser is redirected to the homepage of the Wi-Fi network. Follow the instructions on the display to log on.
If you can't log on to the Wi-Fi network, turn off Wi-Fi on your phone and connect to the internet using the mobile network.
Solution: Select network


Slide your finger left on the display.
Press Settings.
Press mobile network.


Select one of the following options:


Select network manually, go to 2a.


Select network automatically, go to 2b.
Press the field below Network selection.
Press tap to select.


Your phone searches for networks within range.
Press tap to select.


A list of available networks will show on your display.
Press the required network.


The display will tell you if you have access to the network you've chosen.
Press the field below Network selection.
Press automatic.


Wait while your phone finds the network.
Press the Home key to return to standby mode.

Press flight mode.
Press the indicator next to Status.


Depending on the current setting, the function is turned on or off.
Press the Home key to return to standby mode.

Press mobile network.

Press on or off to activate or deactivate data connections.

Slide your finger left on the display.
Press Settings.
Press access point.
Press add.
Press the field below Connection name and key in Telstra MMS and Internet
Press the field below Access Point Name and key in telstra.wap
Press the drop down list below Authentication type.
Press none.
Press the field below MMS Access Point Name and key in telstra.mms
Press the field below Proxy address and key in 10.1.1.180
Press the field below Proxy port and key in 80
Press the field below MMSC address and key in http://mmsc.telstra.com:8002
Press the drop down list below Authentication type.
Press none.
Press the done icon.
Press the required data connection.
Press the Home key to return to standby mode.
