Set up your tablet for POP3 email

You can set up your tablet to send and receive email from your email accounts. To set up your tablet for POP3 email, you need to set up your tablet for internet.
Select an alternative email configuration:
- Set up your tablet for IMAP email
- Set up your tablet for Telstra Mail
- Set up your tablet for Exchange email

Slide your finger downwards starting from the top of the screen.
Press the settings icon.
Press Cloud and accounts.
Press Accounts.
Press Add account.
Press Email.
Press Other.
Press Email address and key in your email address.
Press Password and key in the password for your email account.
Press Sign in.
If this screen is displayed, you email account has been recognised and set up automatically. Follow the instructions on the screen to key in more information and finish setting up your tablet.
Press POP3 account.

Press Never to keep email on the server when you delete them on your tablet.
Press When deleted from Inbox to delete email on the server when you delete them on your tablet.

Press the username field and key in the username for your email provider's outgoing server.
Press the password field and key in the password for your email provider's outgoing server.
Press Sign in.
Press the Home key to return to the home screen.
Slide your finger upwards on the screen.
Press Samsung.
Press Email.
Slide your finger right starting from the left side of the screen.
Press the settings icon.
Press Notifications.
Press the indicator next to
Press the Return key.
Press the required account.
Press the indicator next to
Press Account name.
Key in the required name and press Done.
Press Your name.
Key in the required sender name and press Done.
Press Email sync schedule.
Press Set sync schedule.
Press the required setting.
Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

    • Slide your finger downwards starting from the top of the screen.
    • Press the settings icon.
    • Press Cloud and accounts.
    • Press Accounts.

    • Press Add account.
    • Press Email.
    • Press Other.

    Enter email address
    • Press Email address and key in your email address.

    • Press Password and key in the password for your email account.
    • Press Sign in.
    • If this screen is displayed, you email account has been recognised and set up automatically. Follow the instructions on the screen to key in more information and finish setting up your tablet.

    Select server type
    • Press POP3 account.

    Enter username
    • Press the field below "Username" and key in the username for your email account.

    Enter incoming server
    • Press the field below "POP3 server" and key in the name of your email provider's incoming server.

    Enter incoming port
    • Press the field below "Port" and key in 110.

    Turn deletion of email on server on or off
    • Press the drop down list below "Auto delete from tablet".
    • Press Never to keep email on the server when you delete them on your tablet.
    • Press When deleted from Inbox to delete email on the server when you delete them on your tablet.

    Enter outgoing server
    • Press the field below "SMTP server" and key in the name of your email provider's outgoing server.

    Enter outgoing port
    • Press the field below "Port" and key in 25.

    Turn on SMTP authentication
    • Press the indicator next to "Require authentication to send emails" to turn on the function.
    • Press the username field and key in the username for your email provider's outgoing server.
    • Press the password field and key in the password for your email provider's outgoing server.
    • Press Sign in.

    Return to the home screen
    • Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

    Find "Email"
    • Slide your finger upwards on the screen.
    • Press Samsung.
    • Press Email.

    Turn email notifications on or off
    • Slide your finger right starting from the left side of the screen.
    • Press the settings icon.
    • Press Notifications.
    • Press the indicator next to "New emails" below the required email account to turn the function on or off.
    • Press the Return key.

    Turn on email synchronisation
    • Press the required account.
    • Press the indicator next to "Sync account" to turn on the function.

    Enter email account name
    • Press Account name.
    • Key in the required name and press Done.

    Key in sender name
    • Press Your name.
    • Key in the required sender name and press Done.

    Select settings for retrieval of new email
    • Press Email sync schedule.
    • Press Set sync schedule.
    • Press the required setting.

    Return to the home screen
    • Press the Home key to return to the home screen.
