Select network mode

You can select which network modes your phone can use. This setting determines the data speeds you can achieve. Follow these instructions to change network mode.

    Find "Mobile Network"
    • Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your phone.
    • Press Settings.
    • Press Network Connections.
    • Press Mobile Network.

    Select network mode
    • Press the drop down list below Network Mode.
    • Press 3G, 2G, 3G & 2G or 4G & 3G & 2G.
    • 3G (UMTS) or 4G (LTE) enables you to achieve higher data speeds than when using 2G (GSM). If you select 3G, your phone can only connect to 3G networks. If you select 2G, you can't achieve high data speeds. If you select 3G & 2G, your phone automatically switches between the two network modes provided that you're within range of a 3G network. If you select 4G & 3G & 2G, your phone automatically switches between the three network modes provided that you're within range of a 3G or a 4G network.

    • Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your phone to return to standby mode.
