If your phone uses a large amount of mobile data, there may be several causes of the problem.
If automatic mobile data usage is turned on, your phone will use mobile data when the connection to the Wi-Fi network is poor.
Solution: Turn automatic use of mobile data on or off
Slide two fingers downwards starting from the top of the screen.
Press the settings icon.
Press Network & Internet.
Press Wi-Fi.
Press the indicator next to "Use Wi-Fi" to turn on the function.
Press Wi-Fi preferences.
Press Advanced.
Press the indicator next to "Switch to mobile data automatically" to turn the function on or off.
Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

If notifications are turned on, your phone will use mobile data when applications send push notifications and is not connected to a Wi-Fi-network.
Solution: Turn notifications on or off
Slide two fingers downwards starting from the top of the screen.
Press the settings icon.
Press Apps & notifications.
Press See all apps.
Press the required app.
Press Notifications.
Press the indicator next to "Show notifications" to turn the function on or off.

Slide 1 is active
If GPS position usage for applications is turned on, your phone will use mobile data when an application uses GPS to determine your position and is not connected to a Wi-Fi-network.
Solution: Turn GPS on or off
Slide two fingers downwards starting from the top of the screen.
Press the settings icon.
Press Security & location.
Press Location.
Press the indicator next to "Use location" to turn the function on or off.
If you turn on geotagging, your phone can find your position using GPS. If you turn off the function, you can't use any GPS functions on your phone.
Press Google Location Accuracy.
If you press the indicator next to "Improve Location Accuracy" to turn on the function, your phone can find your exact position using the GPS satellites, the mobile network and nearby Wi-Fi networks. Satellite-based GPS requires a clear view of the sky.
If you press the indicator next to "Improve Location Accuracy" to turn off the function, your phone can find your exact position using the GPS satellites but it may take longer as there is no access to supplementary information from the mobile network or nearby Wi-Fi networks.
Press the Return key.
Press App-level permissions.
Press the indicators next to the required apps to turn the function on or off.
Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

If automatic update of apps via mobile network is turned on, your phone will use mobile data.
Solution: Turn automatic update of apps on or off
Slide your finger upwards from the bottom of the screen to the top of the screen.
Press Play Store.
Slide your finger right starting from the left side of the screen.
Press Settings.
Press Auto-update apps.
To turn on automatic update of apps using mobile network, press Over any network.
If you turn on automatic update of apps via mobile network, your apps are automatically updated via the mobile network when no Wi-Fi networks are within range.
To turn on automatic update of apps using Wi-Fi, press Over Wi-Fi only.
To turn off automatic update of apps, press Don't auto-update apps.
