Set up your phone for web-based email

You can send and retrieve email from a web-based email account, such as Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail and Gmail. Follow these instructions to set up your phone for web-based email. Remember, you need to set up your phone for internet.

Select an alternative email configuration:
- Set up your phone for PO3 email
- Set up your phone for Telstra Mail
- Set up your phone for Exchange email

Find "email+accounts"
- Slide your finger left on the display.
- Press Settings.
- Press email+accounts.

Create new email account
- Press add an account.
- Press the required provider.

Enter email address
- Press the field below Email address and key in your email address (e.g. name@provider.com).

Enter password
- Press the field below Password and key in the password for your email account.

Activate email account
- Press next.
- Press sign in.
- Wait while the email account is activated.

Edit email account settings
- Press the email account you've just set up.

Enter email account name
- Press the field below Account name and key in a name for the email account.

Select setting for retrieving new email
- Press the field below Download new content.
- Press the required period or manually.

Select period for retrieving email
- Press the field below Download email from.
- Press the required period or any time.

Select data types
- Press Email, Contacts and Calendar to turn synchronisation of each data type on or off.
- When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), synchronisation for the required data type is turned on.

Save and exit
- Press the confirm icon.
- Press the Home key to return to standby mode.
