I can't send and receive picture messages

Your phone hasn't been correctly set up for picture messaging

Set up your phone for picture messaging

Slide two fingers downwards starting from the top of the screen.
Press the settings icon.
Press Mobile network.
Press the name of your SIM.
Press Access point names.
Press the new data connection icon.
Press the field below

Press the field below

Press the field below

Press Authentication type.
Press None.
Press the field below

Press the save icon.
Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

    • Slide two fingers downwards starting from the top of the screen.
    • Press the settings icon.
    • Press Mobile network.
    • Press the name of your SIM.
    • Press Access point names.

    Create new data connection
    • Press the new data connection icon.
    • Press the field below "Name" and key in Telstra MMS.

    Enter APN
    • Press the field below "APN" and key in telstra.mms.
  • 4
    Enter picture messaging server
    • Press the field below "MMSC" and key in http://mmsc.telstra.com:8002.

    Enter IP address
    • Press the field below "MMS proxy" and key in 10.1.1.180.
  • 6
    Enter port number
    • Press the field below "MMS port" and key in 80.
  • 7
    Enter country code
    • Press the field below "MCC" and key in 505.
  • 8
    Enter network code
    • Press the field below "MNC" and key in 01.
  • 9
    Select authentication type
    • Press Authentication type.
    • Press None.
  • 10
    Enter APN type
    • Press the field below "APN type" and key in mms.
  • 11
    Save data connection
    • Press the save icon.
  • 12
    Return to the home screen
    • Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

Can you make a voice call?

It's important to find out if you can make a voice call. If you can't make a voice call, you need to solve this problem first. When the problem is solved, you will most likely also be able to send and receive picture messages.
