I can't send and receive email
Set up your phone for Telstra Mail

1Find "Users & Accounts"
- Slide two fingers downwards starting from the top of the screen.
- Press the settings icon.
- Press Users & Accounts.

2Create new email account
- Press Add Account.

3Select server type
- Press IMAP/POP3.

4Enter email address

Press the field below "Email Account" and key in your Telstra email address.
E.g. user@bigpond.com, user@bigpond.net.au or user@telstra.com.

5Enter password
- Press Account Password and key in the password for your Telstra email account.
- Press Sign In.

6Key in sender name
- Press Sender Name and key in the required sender name.
- Press OK.
- Press Done.

7Turn email notifications on or off
- Slide your finger right starting from the left side of the screen.
- Press Settings.
- Press Notifications.
- Press the indicator next to "Allow Notifications" to turn the function on or off.
- Press the Return key.

8Enter email account name
- Press the required email account.
- Press Account and key in the required name.
- Press OK.

9Select setting for retrieval of new email
- Press Sync Frequency.
- Press the required setting.

10Enter username
- Press Manual Setup.
- Press Advanced Settings.

Press Username and key in the username for your Telstra email account.
The username for your Telstra email account is your email address, e.g. user@bigpond.com, user@bigpond.net.au or user@telstra.com.

11Enter incoming server
- Press Incoming Server and key in imap.telstra.com.

12Enter incoming port
- Press Port and key in 993.

13Enter outgoing server
- Press Outgoing Server and key in smtp.telstra.com.

14Enter outgoing port
- Press Port and key in 465.

15Turn on SMTP authentication

Press Username and key in the username for your Telstra email account.
The username for your Telstra email account is your email address, e.g. user@bigpond.com, user@bigpond.net.au or user@telstra.com.
- Press Password and key in the password for your Telstra email account.
- Press Sign In.

Press Username and key in the username for your Telstra email account.

16Return to the home screen
- Press the Home key to return to the home screen.
Can you use the phone's internet connection?
It's important to find out if you can use the phone's internet connection. If you can't use the phone's internet connection, you need to solve this problem first. When the problem is solved, you will most likely also be able to send and receive email.
