I can't turn on my phone
If you can't turn on your phone, there may be several causes of the problem.
Solution: Charge the battery
Connect the charging cable to the socket and to a wall socket.
When the battery charging icon is displayed, charging is in progress.


When the battery is fully charged, you can remove the charging cable from the wall socket and your phone.

Solution: Turn your phone on and off
Press On/Off until your phone is turned on.


Slide upwards on the display to turn off the key lock.
If required, key in your PIN and press OK.


If your phone rejects the SIM:


Contact the distributor or service provider where you bought your phone.
Press and hold On/Off.
Press Power off.
Press OK.

Turn the back of your phone towards you.
Take hold of the top of the back cover and remove it.
Place your SIM as illustrated in the SIM holder.
Slide in your SIM.


Place the battery in your phone, bottom first, matching the battery contacts with the phone contacts, and press it into place.
Place the back cover on your phone, bottom first, and press it into place.

Solution: Turn use of phone lock code on or off
Press Apps.
Press Settings.
Press Security.
Press Screen lock.


Select one of the following options:


Create phone lock code using swipe, go to 2a.


Create phone lock code using face recognition, go to 2b.


Create phone lock code using a pattern, go to 2c.


Create phone lock code using a PIN, go to 2d.


Create phone lock code using a password, go to 2e.


Turn off use phone lock code, go to 2f.
Press Swipe.
Press Face unlock.
Press Set it up.
Press Continue.


Hold your phone in front of your face and centre your face in the circle displayed.


Wait while your phone registers your face.
Press Continue.
Press Pattern or PIN.
If you select Pattern:
Press and drag a point to connect at least four points.
Press Continue.


Repeat the selected phone lock code to confirm.
Press Confirm.
Press OK.
If you select PIN:
Key in the required phone lock code and press Continue.
Key in the phone lock code again and press OK.
Press Pattern.
Press and drag a point to connect at least four points.
Press Continue.


Repeat the selected phone lock code to confirm.
Press Confirm.
Press PIN.
Key in the required phone lock code and press Continue.
Key in the phone lock code again and press OK.
Press Password.
Key in the required phone lock code and press Continue.
Key in the phone lock code again and press OK.
Press None.
Press the Home key to return to standby mode.
