Back up phone memory
Before updating the phone software, it's recommended that you back up the phone memory to ensure that no data is lost. It can also be useful to back up the phone memory regularly to ensure that no data is lost in case of defects or crashes.

Go to www.samsung.com on your computer.Find the download section on the web page to download Samsung Kies 3.Download and install Samsung Kies 3.

Open the cover at the bottom of your phone.

Connect the data cable to the socket and to the computer's USB port.

Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your phone.

Press Connected as a media device.

Press Media device (MTP) until the function is turned on.

Start the program Samsung Kies 3 on your computer.

Click your phone on the list of connected devices.

Click Back up/Restore.

Click Select all items to select all files.
