Set up your phone for Exchange email
You can set up your phone to send and receive email from your Exchange email account, such as your work email. Follow these instructions to set up your phone for Exchange email.
Select an alternative email configuration:
- Set up your phone for PO3 email
- Set up your phone for web-based email
- Set up your phone for Telstra Mail

1Find "Access Point Names"
- Press the menu icon.
- Press Settings.
- Press More....
- Press Mobile networks.
- Press Access Point Names.

2Create new data connection
- Press the menu icon.
- Press New APN.

3Enter data connection name
- Press Name.
- Key in Telstra Mail and press OK.

4Enter APN
- Press APN.
- Key in telstra.wap and press OK.

An APN is used to establish a data connection.

5Enter country code
- Press MCC.
- Key in 505 and press OK.

6Enter network code
- Press MNC.
- Key in 01 and press OK.

7Select authentication type
- Press Authentication type.
- Press None.

8Select APN type
- Press APN type.
- Key in default and press OK.

9Save and activate data connection
- Press the menu icon.
- Press Save.
- Press the field next to Telstra Mail to activate the data connection.
- When the field is marked, the data connection is activated.
- Press the home icon to return to standby mode.

10Find "Exchange Active Sync"
- Press the menu icon.
- Press Settings.
- Press Add account.
- Press Corporate.

11Enter email address
- Key in your email address.

12Enter password
- Press Password and key in your password.
- Press Next.

13Enter domain and username
- Key in the domain and username separated by a "\".

14Enter server address
- Press the field below Server and key in the server address.

15Turn SSL encryption on or off
- Press Use secure connection (SSL) to turn SSL encryption on or off.
- When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.

SSL encryption protects your email when sending and receiving email. If you turn on SSL encryption, your email provider and internet service provider need to support this function, and you might need to select further settings before you can send and receive email.

16Turn authentication of SSL certificates on or off
- Press Accept all SSL certificates to turn the function on or off.
- When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.

The menu item is only available if you turned on SSL encryption in step 15.

17Turn client certificate on or off
- Press Use client certificate to turn the function on or off.
- When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.
- If you turn on the function:
- Press Client certificate.
- Follow the instructions on the display to install the required certificate.
- Press Next.

The menu item is only available if you turned on SSL encryption in step 15.

18Select setting for retrieving new email
- Press the drop down list below Inbox check frequency.
- Press Automatic (Push), Manual or the required interval.
- Please note:
- Each time your phone connects to the server to synchronise, data charges will apply.

19Select synchronisation period
- Press the drop down list below Days to sync.
- Press the required setting.

20Select default email account
- Press Send email from this account by default to turn the function on or off.
- When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.

21Turn email notification on or off
- Press Notify me when email arrives to turn the function on or off.
- When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.

22Turn synchronisation of contacts on or off
- Press Sync contacts from this account to turn the function on or off.
- When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.

23Turn synchronisation of calendar on or off
- Press Sync calendar from this account to turn the function on or off.
- When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.

24Turn email synchronisation on or off
- Press Sync email from this account to turn the function on or off.
- When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.

25Turn automatic retrieval of attachments when connected to a Wi-Fi network on or off
- Press Download attachments automatically when connected to Wi-Fi network to turn the function on or off.
- When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.
- Press Next.

26Enter email account name
- Key in a name for your email account
- Press Next.

27Exit
- Press the home icon to return to standby mode.
