1. Find "Screen lock"

Press the menu icon.

1. Press the menu icon.
2. Press Settings.
3. Press Security.
4. Press Screen lock.
5. Select one of the following options:
6. Create phone lock code using face recognition, go to 2a.
7. Create phone lock code using a pattern, go to 2b.
8. Create phone lock code using a PIN, go to 2c.
9. Create phone lock code using a password, go to 2d.
10. Turn off use of phone lock code, go to 2e.
11. Press Face Unlock.
12. Press Continue.
13. Hold your phone in front of your face and centre your face in the circle displayed.
14. Wait while your phone registers your face.
15. Press Continue.
16. Press Pattern or PIN.
17. If you select Pattern:
18. Press and drag a point to connect at least four points.
19. Press Continue.
20. Repeat the selected phone lock code to confirm.
21. Press Confirm.
22. If you select PIN:
23. Key in the required phone lock code and press Continue.
24. Key in the phone lock code again and press OK.
25. Press Pattern.
26. Press and drag a point to connect at least four points.
27. Press Continue.
28. Repeat the selected phone lock code to confirm.
29. Press Confirm.
30. Press PIN.
31. Key in the required phone lock code and press Continue.
32. Key in the phone lock code again and press OK.
33. Press Password.
34. Key in the required phone lock code and press Continue.
35. Key in the phone lock code again and press OK.
36. Press None.
37. Press the Home key to return to standby mode.

3. Key in your PIN and press OK.
4. If your phone rejects the SIM:
5. Contact the distributor or service provider where you bought your phone.
6. Press and hold On/Off.
7. Press Power off.

Solution: Before you can use a Telstra SIM, you'll need to unlock your phone using an unlock code. To get the unlock code, contact the operator that locked your phone.

1. Remove the SIM holder

Turn the back of your phone towards you.

1. Turn the back of your phone towards you.
2. Insert the opener for the SIM holder into the small hole next to the SIM holder at the top of your phone.
3. Remove the SIM holder from your phone.
4. Turn your SIM so the angled corner of your SIM matches the angled corner of the SIM holder.
5. Place your SIM in the SIM holder.
6. Insert the SIM holder into your phone.

1. Connect the charging cable to your phone

Connect the charging cable to the phone socket and to a wall socket.

1. Connect the charging cable to the phone socket and to a wall socket.
2. When the battery charging icon is displayed, charging is in progress.
3. When the battery is fully charged, you can remove the charging cable from the wall socket and your phone.
