Turn use of PIN on or off

The PIN protects your SIM from unauthorised use. When use of PIN is turned on, you need to key in your PIN every time the USB modem application starts. Remember, you need to establish a connection to the USB modem web interface.

    Find "PIN Management"
    • Click Settings.
    • Click Management.
    • Click PIN Management.

    Turn on use of PIN
    • Click the field next to "PIN code:" and key in your PIN.
      If the wrong PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM is blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting Customer Service. Please note: If an incorrect PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM is blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM from Telstra.
    • Click Apply.

    Turn off use of PIN
    • Click the field next to "PIN code:" and key in your PIN.
